Troubleshooting

Leveler readings, notifications, backups and sign-in.
Free — in the free app

The leveler seems off

  • Calibrate on a surface you know is level (see Calibrate & Fine-Tune).
  • Check your rig's width and length in Settings → Your rig. Wrong numbers mean wrong inches.
  • Put the phone in the same spot and direction every time, flat, top toward the front.
  • Backwards? Turn on Swap left and right or Swap front and back.
  • Some thick or magnetic cases throw it off — try it out of the case.

I'm not getting reminders

  • Reminders are part of Pro.
  • Check Remind me when due is on (Service tab), or a tank reminder has days set.
  • Make sure notifications are allowed: iPhone Settings → Notifications → CampSavvy (Android: Settings → Apps → CampSavvy → Notifications).
  • Maintenance items need a "last done" date before they can come due.

My data didn't come over to my new phone

  • Sign in with the same method as before — same Apple ID, Google account or email.
  • On the old phone (if you still have it), Settings → Account should say Backed up. Tap Back up now with signal.

I didn't get a sign-in code

  • Check spam or promotions. It comes from [email protected].
  • Wait a minute, then Send a new code. Codes work for 10 minutes.

Campgrounds or trips won't load

  • They need signal and a signed-in account with Pro.
  • Trip miles marked ≈ are estimates when the route couldn't be reached; they update next time you open the trip.
  • On a trip's map, campgrounds show for the area you're looking at. Zoomed out to half the country, it asks you to zoom in first — zoom to where you'd like to stay and tap Search this area, or tap the yellow flag.

The computer planner won't sign in

  • Use my phone: the phone must be signed in to your account. Go to Settings → Use on a computer and type the 8-letter code exactly as shown. Codes last 10 minutes; refresh the page for a new one.
  • Email me a code: use the email on your account. If you signed up with Apple's "Hide My Email", use your phone instead.
  • The planner is part of Pro. If it says so after you've bought Pro, start the app once, then tap I have Pro — check again.

A trip from my computer isn't on my phone

  • Check both are signed in to the same account, and the planner says Saved.
  • Open Trips on the phone with signal — it checks for new trips each time it opens.
