Leveling Your RV

How many inches β€” and how many blocks β€” under which wheels.
Free β€” in the free app

The leveler tells you exactly what to do: which side to raise and by how much, in inches and in blocks β€” or, on a motorhome, how much under each wheel.

A motorhome: blocks needed under each wheel.
A motorhome: blocks needed under each wheel.

Using it

  1. Lay your phone flat inside the RV β€” on the floor or a table β€” with the top of the phone pointing to the front (the hitch, or the windshield).
  2. Open the Level tab. The screen stays on while it's open.
  3. Read the instruction at the top:
    • Towables: "Raise the left side" or "Raise the right side" with the inches and number of blocks, then raise or lower the tongue to level front to back.
    • Motorhomes: "Add blocks where shown" β€” each wheel that needs blocks shows its inches and block count.
  4. Pull onto the blocks, put the phone back in the same spot, and check again. When you're within ΒΌ inch, it says You're level and the phone buzzes.
Do side to side first while a towable is still hitched, then unhitch and use the tongue jack for front to back.

Hold reading

Tap Hold reading to freeze the numbers β€” handy when you set the phone inside and walk out to the blocks. Tap Go live to start reading again.

The angles

The small pills show the tilt in degrees: Side (left/right) and Front (front/back). The inches and blocks come from these and your rig's width and length.

The inches are only as good as your rig's width and length. Measure them once (see Setting Up Your Rig) and calibrate your phone.
